'Contemporary Art from India. Schoo Collection' with exhibition at Museum Arnhem until 21 September

Contemporary Art from India. Schoo Collection is dedicated to contemporary art from India, compiled by Eegje Schoo.
The publication delves deeper into the background of the Schoo Collection, the artists Schoo followed - often from the earliest beginnings of their careers. Paying attention to artists such as Jaya Ganguly, Bhupen Khakhar, Sheila Makhijani, Surendran Nair, Jangarh Singh Shyam, Aji V. N., the tantric artists Raja Baby Sharma, Ghanshyam Nimbark, Acharya Vyakul, and many others.
Eegje Schoo recently donated parts of her collection to Museum Arnhem amongst others. These works of art can be seen together with other works of art from the collection of Museum Arnhem in the exhibition Winged Woman, until 21 September. Offering a new perspective on contemporary art from India and show how art from different cultures and eras can be connected; it shows the power of art as a universal language.
